Progress on the Erie Street CDBG Project has been delayed due to the wrong color of pavers being sent, but today the permeable paver contractor has received the correct color of pavers and has started to work.

The sidewalks are being paved by Smith Contracting a subcontractor on the project and his crew is working diligently to install the sidewalks.

Work will start soon on the parking lot.

Hulstein Excavating, the prime contractor, is working to ensure completion of the project by mid-November.

Project Update 6/8/2016: Extended Road Closure

Construction work on the Erie Street project began Monday 6/6, and has been proceeding at a steady pace!  After pulling up the old street and moving out material, heavy construction equipment unfortunately caused a water main break.  City Officials are currently working with Bolton & Menk Engineers to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and make lasting improvements to the City's water infrastructure.

In order to efficiently resolve the water main break, the project will require slightly a extended construction area sooner than expected.  Starting tomorrow (6/9), the road closure will be extended into the Erie/6th Street intersection.

Click below for a few visual updates on the project! As always, feel free to contact City Hall with any questions or concerns.
